Public outreach is the main focus of the Brooks Museum. We put a lot of energy into researchin andg and implementing educational programs that bring art alive and preserve the cultural memory of our community. On Thursday, December 11 we will be hosting a guest lecturer for free with your museum admission. Amir Parsa, manager of the Alzheimer’s Project at MOMA, is a renowned thinker and educator who integrates art with other areas of our lives, including literacy, health, and community development. Parsa will speak about the theory and practice of innovative program design, outlining the components that have the potential to strengthen a museum’s connection to its community by creating meaningful experiences for participants.
