TOUR and FILM:Who Does She Think She Is? and the My ‘Losophy Exhibition

Gallery Tour: My ‘Losophy: Gaining Perspective through Art Therapy

Thursday, February 11 | 6pm

Take a guided tour through the inspiring and eye-catching education exhibit! Our very own Karen Peacock shares her experience working with the kids who created the My ‘Losophy exhibition.

It was truly an inspiring moment when the kids at Youth Villages came to their art opening. Several kids felt comfortable and confident enough in the museum to speak out about their experience in front of a large group.

The art therapy exhibits not only transform the lives of those involved, but other viewers as well. Many students have inquired about how they can help kids at Youth Villages and it has encouraged other students to pursue an interest in the field of art therapy.

FILM: Who Does She Think She Is?

Thursday, February 11 | 7:30

Directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker, Pamela Tanner Boll, Who Does She Think She Is, chronicles the lives of several women who don’t settle for choices, they take what they want from life and make no apologies.

This documentary compares the past ideals of women viewed as inspirations of beauty and emotion to the current epidemic of the mainstream’s knowledgeable deficit when it comes to women in history, especially women artists.
